This web-site came from on attempt to create a bibliography of de Sade's works that have been translated into English. A
large amount of his books have been reprinted by different publishing houses with some texts being edited for content and
others printed on poor quality material.
The unusual aspect of all this was the prices for some of these reprints were more expensive than the original. I believe
this was from honest mistakes by booksellers not well versed in vintage erotica. It is easy to be misled with the "First time
in English" and only the single copyright date from the first publication.
Being a tangential reader and collector, Dr. Bloch's 120 Days of Sodom brought Falstaff Press to my attention, and through
this publishing house, eugenics. The collection of Utopian books started from a reference in de Sade's Philosophy in the
Boudoir.
